Getting started
What connects, and what comes in another way
Flocuity connects directly to your bank, through Plaid, to QuickBooks Online and Xero, and to Square and Stripe. Every connection is read-only. Everything else arrives through one of those, or from a spreadsheet.
Payroll services
Gusto, ADP, Paychex and other payroll services don’t connect directly. Payroll comes from your bank history, where each payroll run shows up, or person by person from the Staffing Model (Standard and Plus), which you can fill from a spreadsheet in one step. Either way it is in the forecast on your real paydays.
Card processors and marketplaces
Square and Stripe connect directly, under Settings › Data. PayPal, Shopify and Amazon don’t. Their payouts land in your bank, where Flocuity recognizes each payout as money from many customers rather than one big customer, and forecasts it from your recent pattern.
QuickBooks Desktop and other accounting software
There is no connection to QuickBooks Desktop yet. Most of Flocuity works without one:
- Connect your bank, or upload a bank export. Your history, regular payments and payroll come from it.
- Add your open invoices and bills under Money In and Money Out, or bring in a spreadsheet of upcoming bills.
- Keep them current: anything past its date asks you whether it happened.
Without a connection, invoices and bills don’t arrive or update on their own, and Flocuity uses its own categories (and your corrections) instead of your books’. Customer payment patterns (Plus) need paid invoices, which only QuickBooks Online or Xero provide.
