Getting started
Connect Square
If customers pay you through Square, connect it and the money Square sends to your bank comes into the forecast from Square itself, not from a guess at your bank history. It’s read-only: nothing is ever changed in Square.
What comes in
- Deposits on their way: each payout Square has sent and your bank has not shown yet, on the day it lands, for what it really is.
- The days after: each weekday’s usual deposit over the last eight weeks, raised or lowered for its month from up to two years of Square deposits. A café’s slow January and busy summer are in the forecast from the day you connect. With under a year of deposits, every month counts alike; with under three weeks, your bank history is used instead.
- Open Square invoices, on their due dates, cleared when they are paid.
- In the Staffing Model (Standard and Plus), your team as Square has it: each person’s pay and the hours their timecards show. Nothing changes until you look it over and apply it.
To connect
- Open Settings › Data and find Square.
- Choose Connect Square and sign in on Square’s own page. Flocuity never sees that password.
- Approve read access. Square is read straight away, and again every night.
Good to know
- Your bank’s own Square patterns (Square deposits on Mondays, on Tuesdays, and so on) step aside, so nothing is counted twice. Money In says so beside each one.
- In Detailed, the Square card shows what was learned: the usual deposit for each weekday and each month against the average.
- To bring your team in, open the Staffing Model and use Compare with Square. If you connected Square before October 7, 2026, it asks you to connect again first, so Square can share the team and timecards.
- To disconnect, use Disconnect on the Square card. Square’s invoices and deposits leave the forecast, and your bank’s own Square patterns come back.
