Set up your forecast in about ten minutes

When you sign up, a short interview collects what the forecast needs, one step at a time. You see your forecast at the end of it, before you enter a card.

Have these ready

• Your online banking sign-in, to connect your bank. It takes about a minute, and up to two years of history comes in at once. You sign in on your bank’s own page; Flocuity never sees the password.
• Your QuickBooks Online or Xero sign-in, if you keep your books there, so open invoices and bills come in too.
• Your Square or Stripe sign-in, if customers pay you by card through one of them, so its deposits and open invoices come in too.
• No connection? A bank export in CSV or Excel works instead. Take at least the last 15 months: long enough to see a bill that comes once a year.
• Roughly when payroll runs and how often, if you have a team.
• The balance you never want to go under. This becomes your cushion. A common starting point is one payroll plus two weeks of your other regular bills.

What happens next

1. About your business: what it does, how it is taxed, where it is, who keeps the books and runs payroll, how many people it pays, how customers pay you by card, and whether it has loans, a line of credit or business cards.
2. Your bank accounts: connect your bank, or upload an export. Flocuity sorts the transactions into categories and finds the payments that repeat.
3. What we found: check the regular payments it found. Uncheck anything that has stopped, and fix any amount that has changed.
4. What’s coming up: add anything you know is on the way, a bill, an invoice or a tax payment, and how often it comes.
5. Your safety cushion: the balance you never want to go under.
6. Your forecast. A checklist on the Dashboard then walks you through the rest: connecting your bank, your books, Square or Stripe if you haven’t, filing the payments it couldn’t place, your Staffing Model, Debt & credit lines, your tax payments, a target balance, and inviting your accountant.
