Why cash
A business can be profitable and still miss payroll. Profit is an opinion formed at year end; cash is a fact, every Friday. Yet most small businesses only have tools that look backward. The bank shows what happened, and the books show what was earned. Neither says what next month looks like.
Large companies have a treasury team and a 13-week cash forecast. A ten-person business has the owner, a spreadsheet that was last updated in March, and a feeling. Flocuity is the 13-week forecast for the ten-person business.
The same gap opens up at home. A household knows what is in the account today and roughly what last month cost. What it rarely knows is whether the insurance, the trip and a quarterly tax bill all land in the same three weeks. That is the same question, and it gets the same forecast.
How we build it
The first thing you see is one sentence telling you whether you’re OK. Every number opens up to the items behind it, because a forecast you can’t check is only a guess. We show how close past forecasts came, and we never pass off a guess as a promise. And your data stays yours: read-only access, we don’t sell it, and the delete button really deletes.
